![]() Lyndal patiently worked through our needs/wants and has put together the perfect floorplan for us. We had quite set ideas about what would be possible. We contacted Cate at My Architect who set us up an appointment with Lyndal Williams. We had seen lots of renovations of similar houses but they always seemed to have something missing or were not quite right! The My Architect team were recommended after a chance conversation at a child's party - the initial meeting and concept plans really appealed to us, the idea of a relatively small outlay to see what the options and initial costings were. ![]() We wanted to add a bedroom/study, an alfresco entertaining space and a garage/carport onto our existing house. “We have always planned to renovate our existing house but had been unsure as how to overcome some flow and function issues. It has been easy to work with her because of her willingness to focus on the task at each step of the way keeping us on track in our meanderings! The builders have been impressed with her attention to design detail.” Jane's creative flair certainly has achieved this, she was always responsive and efficiently came up with practical solutions when we had questions. It was outstanding, so impressive and so useful! The Vimeo video entailed Amelia talking through the floor plans, explaining why she designs things in certain ways, options at different design junctions - it all made so much sense and helped me understand the design process. I completed a questionnaire before our meeting, she spent two hours at our home doing a walk through and discussing our brief and then prepared a very detailed report and "Vimeo" presentation including two different sets of floor plan options, all drawn to scale, including lay overs so you could see how the proposed changes related to the existing floor plan and how the second story would relate to the ground floor.
